22nd February, 1915, 5.35 p.m. Your telegrams Nos. 3159, M.O. 1(B), and 3189, ciphers, of 19th February and 21st February respectively. The "Nile" is now at Singapore, and when affairs there are again normal she can be used to take four companies 4th B. Shropshire Light Infantry to Hong Kong. She could then bring the 36th Sikhs to India.
The 40th Pathans can go to France in the "Basilan" as proposed by the General Officer Commanding, Hong Kong, in his No. 90, cipher, of 17th February, to you.

The Ellenga and the "Assaye" sailed for Hong Kong on 6th February and 20th February respectively.
